About iDREAM

iDREAM is a national non-profit initiative dedicated to celebrating and uplifting emerging talent in Canada’s music, art, film, sport, and entrepreneurship communities. Each year, we award $1M in donated media to winners across these categories, giving them a platform to shine on billboards, digital screens, and media channels nationwide. idreamadream.ca

Our 2025 iDream Awards will showcase incredible new voices and stories, and we need passionate creative volunteers to help bring them to life.

Role Overview

We are seeking Creative Design Interns (volunteer positions) to design ad campaigns for our 2025 award winners. This is a portfolio-building opportunity where your work will be published nationally, seen across digital and print platforms, and make a direct impact in highlighting diverse Canadian creators.

Important Note

This is an unpaid volunteer position. We provide letters of reference, mentorship, and will actively support you in finding future career opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Design ad creative for five award winners using supplied copy, logos, and brand guidelines.
  • Deliver assets formatted for digital signage, social media, and print placements.
  • Collaborate with our marketing and leadership team for feedback and approvals.
  • Meet deadlines (typically 1–2 weeks turnaround per project).

Requirements

  • Enrolled in (or recent graduate of) a design, advertising, or creative media program.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines while adding your own creative vision.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with digital, print, or media design (TV/radio experience a plus).
